Advocate4ED

Advocate4ED is run by Kathleen Ross-Kidder, PhD, a special education advocate. A special education advocate helps you work with the school to find out why your child struggles in school. An advocate reviews current school testing of your child's progress to explain test results, to suggest further needed assessments, and to develop an appropriated education plan for your child. Dr. Ross-Kidder will help you work to obtain needed services within the educational maze, advocate on behalf of your child, help you know how to file complaints and requests for a due process hearing. She can also help by attending IEP meetings, or other needed school meetings, helping write replies or documents needed for case resolution; help write IEP and/or 504 goals; attend MDR meetings, transition service meetings; help you write more complex documents such as state complaints or documents required for further case review. She is not an attorney, and does not provide legal advice.
