The individuals with autism enrolled in Project Lifesaver wear a small transmitter on the wrist or ankle that emits an individualized frequency signal. If the client goes missing, the dispatched first responders (trained to understand autism) will then use the client’s frequency to locate the position of the individual and allow them to be brought back to safety.
